***NOTE*** 4-week class (this session only) Prerequisite - Dogs must have completed Beginner Agility 2 to register for this class. Instruction will be provided to all level of teams (Novice – Master). This class will offer two main focuses of Agility skills – Contacts and Weaves. Teams will work weaves (channel or competition). Part of the class focuses on helping you and your dog to become proficient at navigating the weave poles with confidence and independence and secure successful entrances and exits. Teams will also work on contacts (2 on 2 off or running contacts). Teams will learn about proper approaches to contact equipment and the fundamentals of successfully hitting the contact zone. The class will also include grid work to teach dogs precise footwork, body awareness, and jumping skills by having them navigate patterns of jumps or cavaletti poles. This build confidence and coordination, while focusing on aspects like stride regulation, collection, extension, and bending through the grid.
