TKC Members are Awarded Recognition
TKC values its members and appreciates the time and effort every member puts into helping to
make TKC a successful kennel club.
At the present time there are three awards given to members.
Member of the Year Service Recognition Award
Presented at the Awards Ceremony in February
This award is given in recognition of a long-time member who has supported TKC in various
capacities over the years.
Generally members are chosen based on the number of years they have been members and the
various roles they have played throughout that time in helping to make TKC successful.
A member is recognized at the TKC yearly awards ceremony and dinner held in February each
year. A framed certificate is given noting the number of years they have been a member. A
copy of their membership application (if available) is placed in a folder and given to them as
well. Also, an item such as a custom tumbler is given to the member.
There are many worthy members. Those chosen have been through a committee vote.
Honorary Membership Award
Presented at a Membership Meeting (time and date tbd)
This award is given in recognition of a long-time member who has served many years in
support of TKC. This member may have had to discontinue participating in membership
meetings, classes and events but still would like to remain in some capacity a member. They
may still want to receive various notifications including notice of meetings, events, etc. and also
to receive a membership list each year.
Each year a member is chosen by committee vote and awarded an Honorary Membership. They
will no longer be required to pay membership dues, but their name will remain on the
membership list indefinitely.
This recognition is awarded at a Membership Meeting. The member will receive a certificate
noting the number of years they have been a member and a copy of their membership
application (if available) and placed in a folder along with a letter thanking the member for their
