PERFORMANCE PUPPY PRIMER

Getting a new puppy is always exciting!!! Getting a performance puppy can be overwhelming!!! Balancing your training list with what what is appropriate for your puppy to protect their mental and physical development! You want to get it right to build your puppy's confidence, body awareness, drive and motivation, listening skills, arousal management and impulse control! Oh my!!! Come join others puppy sporting enthusiast to learn games you can play with your puppy to help address many of these training areas!!  Appropriate for puppy up to 9 months. 

ATTENTION & CONNECTION WORKSHOP
(12:00pm - 2:30pm)
Come learn some really fun games to help you increase your dog's attention, focus and connection to you!!!  As dogs grow up, they go thru phases, during some of these phases we are the center of their universe and they are always choosing to be in close proximity to us!!!  As they become more confident and independent, the environment can begin to take on more value and become a major distraction for your dog's attention.  Your dog may find it difficult to manage their arousal level in different environments.  How you prepare for and respond in these instances will establish a solid connection for your future teamwork!!! Increase the tools in your toolbox to build your dog’s confidence, combat these distractions and regain your rightful position at the center of your dog's universe!  This workshop is for dogs of all ages - it is never too late!!!! 


INSTRUCTOR BIO

Linda Rose has been training and competing in dog agility for over 15 years. She and her golden retrievers have been finalists in AKC National Agility Championship, USDAA Gran Prix, UKI Speedstakes and Westminster Masters Agility Championship. She has been on the podium at several USDAA Regional Championship and came in first place in Team Snooker at the USDAA Cynosport World Games. Linda focuses on positive training to build drive and passion with her dogs. She loves foundation skills and playing games to help teams become more confident. Linda is an instructor for Jersey Agility Group in NJ and Morningstar Clever K9s in SC. Linda has attended many different seminars and camps to become familiar with multiple handling methods and believes there is value in trying different techniques to figure out what is best for each individual team. She loves sharing what she has learned to help students improve their dog agility skills and results!
