This class is appropriate for dogs of any age. It is designed to provide people who wish to show in conformation an opportunity to learn and practice ring procedures in the presence of other dogs and people. It is designed to provide people who wish to show in conformation an opportunity to learn and practice ring procedures in the presence of other dogs and people. This class does not follow a structured curriculum, so drop-ins work well. Not always formally instructed, but suggestions for improvement (and encouragement) will be offered. All the basics, including stacking, gaiting, ring patterns and procedures and how to get liver out of a skirt pocket after the skirt has been washed and dried will be covered. While not required, a dog who can walk on a leash and a basic knowledge of showing (watch Westminster) are helpful. Please bring a show lead, small treats, patience and a sense of humor.
